Tales from the Pit

Welcome to the Tales from the Pit website and thanks for visiting!

Ah, 2004!

We are very positive about the new year. Not only about the zine but more specifically, about the wonderful scene!
We like to think of this year as the year of the Revolution. It is in deed time for the scene to get hard core so you better hold on to your horses because if it's going to be anything like we envision - this year is going to rock you off your pedestal.

Our prospects are that this year will be a prosperous one for Tales from the Pit punk rock ‘zine as well, check out the ISSUES-page to see what you can look forward to in issue 2.

What is TALES FROM THE PIT?

TALES FROM THE PIT is a South African D.I.Y Punk Rock Zine, based in Gauteng.
TALES FROM THE PIT mainly covers SA punk rock/alternative forms of music.

The zine contains interviews with bands, CD reviews, scene/gig reports, art contributions and lots of articles/essays/columns (which is of course not only about music, but political or full of social commentary).

TALES FROM THE PIT is a non-profitable zine - if any profit is to be made, it will be saved to either be given to charity or to organize a charity gig, where a suitable charity will be picked and benefited.

The zine is not for ourselves - but for the scene we know and love. It is about the lifestyle, and the music we relate to with every fiber of our beings. In short,

TALES FROM THE PIT is here to enlighten, and to share with minds akin to our own.
